E-Learning in the Philippines
E-learning is a relatively new concept in the Philippines in the context of education and it’s still in its embryonic stage. Due to a lot of factors such as poor infrastructure, lack of investment, and missing structure on pedagogy readily available to many Filipinos, the progress of distance education in the Philippines lags far behind more industrialised countries.
E-learning as it’s still an emerging market may potentially grow once a good formula that fits the Filipino preference is established, resulting in a more effective education system. Through government support on the use of distance education via e-learning, local communities will get equal access to basic education which is fundamental to enhancing the country’s provision of quality education.
